1. Have fun with the different layouts
“Just photos or photos with text, the layouts come in handy. However, there’s always the option to use a blank page and create your own. While making our class Mixbook, I probably changed the layouts a hundred times. The good news is that it’s easy to try different layouts without messing up what you’ve already created. Simply drag and drop the chosen photo from the photos bar into the layout. To replace it, just drag another photo on top.” —Allyson
2. Add stickers!
“The stickers turned out to be my favorite feature of Mixbook. Animals, shapes, arrows, you name it. There are even suggestions under ‘theme stickers’ for stickers that go well to the theme of your book. To add a few words or sayings around your photos, instead of having to use a text box, type the text, then figure out what font looked best, sizing, etc. Just pop in a sticker.” —Allyson
3. Customize your yearbooks from cover to cover
“It was fun going through pictures from the school year of special days and activities. We have had an amazing year, and I loved seeing the enthusiasm as I looked back. Digital photos are great for many reasons, but there is something to be said about an old school photo album. Mixbook combines the two perfectly!” —Stephanie

Stephanie started off by putting together a book that spanned several years of her classes, but now that she created the book, she looks forward to doing them annually. “I also think it would be neat to give parents the opportunity to order a copy of the book on their own as a keepsake. Our school, of course, does a yearbook for the entire school, but I think parents would be interested in a copy of a teacher created book just for the specific class since it just focuses on our classroom and group of students.” —Stephanie
